Terms of Use

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

Last Updated: October 1, 2026

These Terms of Use govern aficompany.online and the Personal Finance Education Program — Personal Financial Planning offered by Academy of Financial Independence ("AFI," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Kristina LaBrusciano.

1. Eligibility and acceptance

The website and program are intended for adults age 18 or older. No diploma, degree, license, or prior educational qualification is required. By purchasing or using the program, you agree to these Terms, the Payment & Refund Policy, the Privacy Policy, and the Course Participation Agreement presented before purchase. If you do not agree, do not complete the purchase.

2. Program description

Personal Financial Planning is a three-month, non-degree online educational program. It includes four structured educational modules, digital lessons and materials, practical learning assignments, knowledge checks, an assigned Student Support Specialist, and individual review of practice assignments. Access is provided for three months.

The full price is $1,299 USD, plus any tax required by law.

3. Educational nature; no professional service

AFI is not a college, university, institution of higher education, investment company, broker-dealer, investment adviser, lender, credit repair organization, accounting firm, law firm, tax adviser, insurance agency, or employment agency.

The program does not award a degree, academic or college credit, professional license, industry certification, or other recognized educational credential. AFI and the program do not participate in Title IV federal student aid programs.

All content and support are for general educational purposes. They do not constitute individualized financial, investment, legal, tax, credit, accounting, or insurance advice or a recommendation to purchase, sell, or hold any financial product or security. Students should consult an appropriately licensed professional for advice about their individual circumstances.

4. No outcome guarantee

Enrollment is not an offer of employment, a business opportunity, an investment opportunity, or a financial advisory relationship. AFI does not guarantee employment, clients, income, business results, savings, debt reduction, credit improvement, investment performance, financial independence, or any other financial, professional, or personal outcome. Results depend on individual circumstances and decisions.

5. Student support

An assigned Student Support Specialist may explain course materials, answer educational questions, and review practice assignments. The specialist does not provide regulated professional advice, recommend securities or individualized transactions, manage money, complete financing applications, or make decisions for the student.

6. Purchases and third-party payment providers

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. If a third-party pay-over-time provider is displayed, that provider independently determines customer eligibility, APR, payment amount, repayment schedule, and other terms. AFI cannot guarantee approval and does not receive authority to make underwriting decisions.

Customers must complete any financing application themselves on their own personal device. AFI employees and representatives do not complete or submit a customer's application. AFI does not add a surcharge, processing fee, or different program price because a customer uses a particular payment method.

7. Access and delivery

Access credentials are sent electronically to the purchase email address, typically within 15 minutes after successful payment. The access period is three months from issuance. The purchaser is responsible for supplying an accurate email address and maintaining a compatible device, current browser, and internet access. Contact info@kristinashadrina.com if access is not received or a technical issue prevents use.

8. Refunds and cancellations

The Payment & Refund Policy provides a seven-calendar-day full-refund period and additional protections for non-delivery, material misdescription, duplicate charges, unauthorized charges, and rights required by law. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. If a purchase uses a pay-over-time provider, the provider applies the refund to the financing agreement under its terms.

9. Personal license and intellectual property

Upon purchase, AFI grants the purchaser a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the program for educational use during the access period. Course materials, trademarks, text, video, audio, graphics, and methods are owned by AFI or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.

The purchaser may not share or resell access; reproduce, distribute, publicly display, publish, or commercially exploit course materials; mass-download content; remove rights notices; or circumvent access controls. Reasonable excerpts may be used only where permitted by law.

10. Responsible use

Users may not misuse the website or platform, interfere with security, upload malware, impersonate another person, violate applicable law, harass other participants, or infringe third-party rights. AFI may suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate or stop material misuse. When appropriate, AFI will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

11. Availability and changes

AFI may make reasonable updates to lessons, platform organization, or support procedures while preserving the program's material educational scope and three-month access period. Planned maintenance or third-party outages may temporarily affect availability. AFI will use reasonable efforts to restore access or provide an appropriate alternative.

12. Disclaimer and limitation

The program is provided with reasonable care for educational use. Except for rights and warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, AFI does not warrant that the program will produce a particular personal or financial result or that every third-party service will be uninterrupted.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AFI is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from a user's independent decisions or misuse of educational materials. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer remedies that cannot legally be limited.

13. Privacy

AFI handles personal information as described in the Privacy Policy. Payment card data and financing applications are handled by applicable third-party providers under their own privacy notices. AFI does not store complete payment card numbers.

14. Governing law and concerns

These Terms are governed by California law and applicable U.S. federal law, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection applicable to the customer. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties are encouraged to contact one another and attempt a good-faith resolution. Customers remain free to contact their payment provider, bank, regulator, or other authority.

15. Changes to these Terms

AFI may update these Terms prospectively. The version accepted at purchase will govern that purchase unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to the student. The current version and update date will remain posted on this page.
