Payment & Refund Policy
Effective Date: October 1, 2026
Last Updated: October 1, 2026
This policy applies only to the Personal Finance Education Program — Personal Financial Planning offered through aficompany.online by Academy of Financial Independence ("AFI," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Kristina LaBrusciano.
1. Program and price
The program is a three-month, non-degree online educational program for adults. The full program price is $1,299 USD, plus any tax required by law. The price is disclosed before purchase and does not change based on the customer's payment method.
2. Payment methods
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. A third-party payment or pay-over-time provider may offer separate terms to eligible customers. That provider, not AFI, determines approval, APR, payment amount, repayment schedule, and other financing terms. AFI does not charge a surcharge or separate processing fee for selecting a particular payment method.
Customers must complete any financing application themselves on their own personal device. AFI employees and representatives do not complete or submit financing applications for customers.
3. Access delivery
Program access is delivered electronically to the email address supplied at checkout and is typically issued within 15 minutes after successful payment. The three-month access period begins when access credentials are issued. If credentials are not received, the purchaser should contact info@kristinashadrina.com so AFI can investigate and provide access.
4. Seven-day full refund
A purchaser may request a full refund for any reason within seven calendar days after the purchase date.
To request a refund, email info@kristinashadrina.com and include the purchaser's name, purchase email address, and purchase date. AFI may request reasonable information needed to locate and verify the transaction.
An eligible refund under this section will be processed to the original payment method. AFI does not issue store credit in place of a refund and does not deduct a refund, restocking, cancellation, or processing fee. Program access will end when the refund is processed. Financial institutions and payment providers may require additional time to post the refund.
5. Requests after seven days
After the seven-day period, purchases are generally non-refundable because the digital program and individual educational support have been made available. AFI will nevertheless provide a full or appropriate partial refund when required by applicable law or when:
- AFI does not deliver program access and does not correct the problem within a reasonable time after written notice;
- the program materially differs from the description presented before purchase and AFI does not correct the issue within a reasonable time;
- the customer was charged more than once for the same purchase; or
- AFI or the applicable payment provider confirms that a charge was unauthorized.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable consumer right.
6. Refunds involving a pay-over-time provider
If the purchase was funded through a third-party pay-over-time provider, AFI will submit an approved refund through the original Stripe/payment-provider transaction. The provider will apply the refund to the customer's financing agreement in accordance with its terms. The timing and effect on scheduled payments are controlled by that provider. Customers may contact the provider directly with questions about their financing agreement.
7. Cancellations
A prospective customer may leave checkout before completing payment without obligation. After purchase, cancellation and refund requests are handled under Sections 4 and 5 of this policy. A cancellation or refund is not complete until AFI processes it through the original payment method.
8. Technical issues
For a temporary technical issue, AFI will use reasonable efforts to restore access, provide an alternative means of access, or extend the access period as appropriate. A technical issue that AFI resolves within a reasonable time does not automatically require a refund, but the protections in Section 5 continue to apply.
9. Payment questions and disputes
Customers may contact info@kristinashadrina.com with any payment, access, cancellation, or refund question. AFI will review concerns in good faith and provide transaction and access records when reasonably required by a payment provider to resolve a dispute. This section does not restrict a customer's right to contact a bank, payment provider, regulator, or other authority.
